Results from the presently (2006) operational ET will be used to filter and validate new and old ideas and these will be simultaneously modeled in the Numerical Tokamak (NT). The modeling and validation activity needs to demonstrate the understanding of ion and electron particle behavior through test particle simulation, and in response to collective effects, through fluid and wave dynamic forces. In-house and community codes will be high lighted on this website in an evolving manner. The unperturbed ion orbits are considered to be mostly magnetized and the unperturbed electron orbits as mostly 'electric' in the field of flux tubes. See the transport section for more details on this delicate transport topic. This leads to the conclusion that control needs to be gained through the ion channel using mass and momentum deposition. This control will be extended to current drive which then will lead to an economic fusion reactor operating in the steady state with minimal turbulence present at both the magnetic axis plasma edge.
